Long Meg and her Daughters

The third largest stone circle in England after Avebury and Stanton Drew.Long Meg is a standing stone outside of the circle. It is aligned with the winter solstice setting sun and recent geophysical surveys indicate that it may have been one of a pair of stones standing as the gateway into the ring.The site is open access with parking on site (a road to the farm actually runs through the circle).
